Mind Body Spirit

This section we hope to expand in time with lots of interesting writings, exploring the link between Mind, Body and Spirit and how essential oils may benefit all areas.
The use of pure essential oils(as well as Herbs, barks and Resins) dates back many centuries to ancient civilizations where they were used for medicinal, cosmetic and meditative purposes, and even today Frankincense is used in many religious practices and faiths to raise the worshipper into a higher state of being.
There is a big link and relationship between these three areas of our being and the use of Essential oils can bring benefits, not only to one area but in turn others to. If our body is healthy (free from Aches, Relaxed/soothed etc) then that in turn can help our mind and indeed our Spirit. At this time we use the word Spirit, interchangeably with soul or essence, in the way the word ‘Psy’ in Psychology used to mean Spirit/Soul or Essence in this discipline.
These ancient civilizations including the Egyptians, Greeks and Romans were particularly aware of the influences of the aromatics on the mind.
Pure essential oils have a personality, character, and vibration. They pulsate with an energy level all of their own which interacts with the energy field surrounding our physical bodies. The combination of the life force of plants and the life force of man produce an exciting and therapeutic effect on the body and mind. This harmonious blending can be used to enhance not only our physical well-being but also our spiritual. The sense of smell is one of the most important senses(it is the only one that is not processed by the brain first) that we have – the limbic system controls the memory..smells unlock memories and emotions enabling us to set off on a journey of rediscovery as we open doors to the soul.
